“Disappear,” I command under my breath, but nothing disappears.

Memory leaves a residue where logic fails.  A spy with no mark to tail.

I’ve followed the wind invisible.

I’ve followed the scent untraceable.

But it dawns on me:

You remain, I’m the one who’s vanishing.
