Technique No. 18 – Lightning Moon Illusion

14 September 2013

At the midpoint of his years, he realizes that he might be a wolf who dreamt he was a man. The human suit he is wearing suddenly feels cheap and tight.

He in turn begins to dream of wolves. Of hunting rabbits and calling to the moon.

He moves so fast, people can’t see what he’s done. He moves fast enough, quiet enough, and others start to ignore him. Their brains gloss over the gaps with what they expect to see. All sorts of possibilities open to him in the moonlight. He could be invisible. He could be in two places at once. Attack and defense, transmitting and receiving, entry and exit, superimposed depending on what angle the light reflects off him and who is watching.

Before this he was a reflection. Until now he spoke in echoes.

Years of smoke and mirrors

almost saw him disappeared.
